Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of pwrtheme, available at https://www.pwrtheme.com. By using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

pwrtheme is a free, browser-based tool for designing and exporting Power BI theme JSON files. You can use the editor without signing in. Signing in unlocks the ability to save themes to the cloud and access them across devices.

2. Accounts

When you create an account you are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method (email inbox or Google account) secure. We will treat anyone signed in as authorised to act on your behalf. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to violate any law or third-party right
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service or its infrastructure
• Submit malware, illegal, or harmful content via the editor
• Use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the themes you create. By saving a theme to your account, you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely for the purpose of operating the service for you. We do not claim any rights to your themes and will not share them with other users or sell them.

5. Intellectual property

The pwrtheme name, logo, code, and design are the property of pwrtheme. Power BI is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. pwrtheme is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft. The Power BI theme JSON schema referenced by the editor is published by Microsoft under their own terms.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep pwrtheme available, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. Where reasonably possible we will give advance notice of significant changes.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that exported theme files will be compatible with every version of Power BI or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pwrtheme and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, resulting from your access to or use of the service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, the licence to use the service ends, but sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the revision. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts.
